Hi, I've been thinking of what would be the best solution for cooling a 3500+ to get it to it's max, of course the LS can make the processor colder so it clocks better, but how about noise?

If the fan is turned down on the LS, does it make noise to a human ear?

And point 2, the VapoChill XE case is ugly, so could I screw the phase change system out of the case and put it into another case? (of course we can mod anything but maybe it voids warranty?)

Thanks, Jellard23

I don't have a Vapochill myself, but I do have phase change. The compressors really aren't what makes the noise, it's the fans. You could set them up to run slower when you didn't have a big load.

If you were careful and didn't tear up anything, you could put the cooling unit in another case easily. If something went wrong with it you could put it back into the case and send it back to manufacturer.

I would get the one that got the coldest under load ^)

hehe thnx for welcoming :),

btw, I don't have got one of the phase change systems either but I want to make my choice the correct choice ;)..

So.. 1 last question though, would LS make less noise than XE when the fan is turned down? If so then I think I'd rather buy the LS, and of course it's cooler

I'd take the LS. Maybe its a bit louder but it cools much better then the xe imo.

Yeah, I read some reviews bout it, cools much better and if I don't like the noise I can always turn the fan a bit down.

Btw, if I buy LS and turn down the fan speed, how about the cooling performance? I can't really find something about it cos all the reviews use fans at 100%.

Can someone give me some information about the cooling performance with fans turned a bit down quieter? :?:
